Qualex Refund Policy
This Policy explains how we review refund requests for Qualex subscriptions and Analysis Pack purchases. Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
1. Payments and Paddle
Paid purchases are processed through Paddle, which may act as the merchant of record. Paddle collects payments, calculates taxes, issues receipts and invoices, and handles refund processing on the payment side. We review refund requests in Qualex and, when approved, initiate refunds through Paddle where possible.
2. Subscription Refund Window
You may submit a subscription refund request during the first 14 days after the relevant subscription purchase. Refund requests are intended for accidental purchases or cases where paid access was not used, or was used only minimally within the limits below.
Refund requests are reviewed manually. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
Canceling a future renewal does not create a refund by itself. A failed, pending, or overdue renewal is not a completed paid purchase for these refund rules. Use Payment Details or Paddle's payment recovery flow for that payment.
3. Minimal Use Limits
For this voluntary review policy, subscription use is generally more than minimal when completed resume analyses after purchase exceed these limits:
| Plan | Maximum use for refund review |
|---|---|
| Starter | Up to 25 completed resume analyses after purchase. |
| Basic | Up to 25 completed resume analyses after purchase. |
| Pro | Up to 50 completed resume analyses after purchase. |
These limits apply to monthly and three-month payment cycles. We may also consider other usage signals, such as saved role workspaces, result cards, exports, continued use after a refund request, suspicious purchase patterns, or abuse. These internal review limits do not reduce any mandatory rights provided by law.
4. When We May Decline a Subscription Refund
- The request is submitted after the refund window.
- The paid service was used beyond the minimal-use limits or continued to be used after the request.
- The request is connected to repeated purchase-and-refund behavior, fraud, abuse, or misuse of payment disputes (chargebacks).
- The purchase was already refunded, disputed with a payment provider, or otherwise handled through Paddle.
- The request does not include enough information to identify the purchase.
- Applicable law does not require a refund and the request does not meet this Policy.
5. How to Request a Subscription Refund
If the account is active, use the refund request option in Payment Details when available. You may be asked to provide a contact email and a short message. Your message may be up to 1,000 characters.
If you cannot access your account, if your account is restricted, or if your account was deleted, contact [email protected] and include your Paddle receipt, transaction ID, subscription ID, invoice, or other sufficient proof of purchase.
6. What Happens After Approval
If we approve a subscription refund request, we may immediately cancel the linked subscription and move the account to the Free plan. Access to paid features, the paid analysis allowance, paid retention, and paid role-workspace capacity may be removed or reduced immediately. Role workspaces or saved results that no longer fit the Free plan may be frozen or removed according to the product retention rules.
The actual refund is processed through Paddle to the original payment method where possible. Timing depends on Paddle, banks, card networks, and payment providers.
7. Analysis Pack Refunds
Analysis Pack is a one-time digital add-on, not a subscription. After successful payment, 300 additional resume analyses are added to your account immediately. Because Analysis Pack is delivered immediately, it is generally non-refundable once those additional analyses are added, except where required by law or expressly allowed after support review.
You may still contact support about an Analysis Pack refund review, but approval is not guaranteed. If a refund is approved or required, we may remove the delivered additional analyses, adjust your balance, or take other reasonable steps to prevent duplicate benefits.
8. Account Deletion and Refunds
If you delete your account before a final refund decision, open in-account refund requests may be closed inside the product. We do not send a separate post-deletion email with transaction IDs. After deletion, questions about payments or refunds can only be handled through support using your Paddle receipt, transaction ID, invoice, or other sufficient proof of purchase.
Account deletion permanently removes workspace data, role workspaces, uploaded resume files, saved result cards, private notes, exports, and the additional analysis balance. Limited payment, tax, consent, fraud-prevention, and legal records may be retained where required or permitted by law.
Account deletion may be paused while a payment session or payment is still being finalized. If a payment completes after deletion is requested, we may need to cancel the associated subscription or handle the purchase or refund with Paddle and support before deletion can be completed.
9. Restricted Accounts
If your account is restricted, access to the product is blocked and we may schedule cancellation of the next automatic subscription renewal. Existing refund requests may remain available for manual review. If you need help with a refund while restricted, email [email protected] with the Paddle transaction ID from your receipt or invoice.
10. Abuse, Fraud, and Chargebacks
We may decline refund requests, restrict purchases, suspend or terminate accounts, or contest payment disputes where we reasonably believe there is refund abuse, fraud, repeated purchase-and-refund behavior, unauthorized payment activity, misuse of payment disputes, or a violation of the Terms of Use. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under applicable law.
11. Mandatory Legal Rights
Some users, especially consumers in certain countries, may have mandatory rights that cannot be excluded by this Policy. If applicable law gives you a stronger right to a refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or another legal remedy, that law applies despite anything different in this Policy.
12. Contact
Refund questions can be sent to [email protected]. Please include the email used for purchase and, where available, the Paddle transaction ID or invoice.
